The Carter Cottage is a beautiful Antique Cape overlooking a multitude of offshore islands, including Isle au Haut, part of Acadia National Park. It is surrounded by open fields, forest, and other period homes. Nestled on a gently sloping hillside cascading down to picturesque harbor, the cottage captures breathtaking views, including lobster boats bringing in their days catch to the nearby Lobster Coop.

Enjoy the views from the front porch, or well manicured large yard. Or, relish the ocean views from inside, as both kitchen and living room capture these beautiful views. Master bedroom views as well!! This home is perfectly situated to walk to the amenities and attractions of downtown Stonington, yet relax in a peaceful country setting. A leisurely walk to Ames Pond, where beaver can be seen building their dens, and other wildlife come and go. Availability this summer and fall - so call soon!

Amenities of the Carter Cottage vacation rental include: telephone, cable TV, full kitchen with cooking utensils, refrigerator, and microwave oven. There is a washer and a dryer, and linens are provided. This is a smoke free cottage - please, no smoking! Maximum occupancy, 4 persons.
