The Boat House is a charming red boat house near the water’s edge, on part of a larger family oceanfront compound. It houses a cozy and well equipped studio apartment located over this adorable two bay boathouse. An exterior stairway carries you up to an open and sunny abode, where you’ll find a wicker seating area, kitchenette, bath, woodstove, hardwood flooring and two twin beds. A large bank of windows overlooks a beautiful ocean vista.

Fronting the boat house is a unique arrangement of granite that, with the addition of a retaining wall, has created an “ocean water pool” where kids (and adults, too!) can frolic in these sun warmed ocean waters. The surrounding grassy yard is perfect for taking in the sun and sea air, with an adjacent beach providing another venue to enjoy Maine’s ocean waters, or a great launching site for your own canoe or kayak. Enjoy the company of guests at the other three family/vacation rental homes on this estate (Kate’s House, The Playhouse and The Carriage House) who may also be drawn to this incredible shorefront setting.
