Our House

At The Red House Bed and Bath, we have been welcoming travelers to the coast of Maine — Penobscot Bay and Deer Isle — since 1995. Following a devastating fire in 2001, we built a brand-new Red House. We have made a special home, a pleasant, comfortable and serene haven. We invite you to share the low-key, relaxed atmosphere of our bed and bath. Our big deck overlooks ledges and gardens, looking down toward the water. It is a great spot for watching birds, enjoying the sun, a good book and a glass of wine. At night, stars blaze by the millions. The meteors in the Perseid Showers are predicted to be especially dramatic this summer, starting mid-July and peaking on August 12. Occasionally we see the aurora borealis toward the end of the summer.

Our Rooms

The Green Room — $80 (for just one night: $100) The Green Room is a spacious upstairs room with queen bed, cable TV, reading corner, and shared bath. The Peach Room — $80 (for just one night: $100) The Peach room is a bright  upstairs room with water view, double bed, reading nook, cable TV, and shared bath. The Blue Suite — $100 (for just one night: $120) The Blue Suite is situated downstairs by the entry and has a queen bed, hugecloset, and a private full bath. We recommend this room for the handicapped,as there is just one stepup from the outside; a grab bar in bathroom.
